摘要
A method of producing biaxially oriented high density polyethylene tube is described where some of the deformation parameters may be controlled by a post mandrel cooling bath application. Experimental results show that dimensional stability of the drawn products primarily depend on uniform temperature distribution around the tube circumference. This research gives a clear understanding of the post mandrel deformation process and shows that natural cooling conditions may lead to inhomogeneous products having properties significantly different from water cooled products.
