摘要
The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is a system for performing, monitoring, tracking and reporting operations on the factory floor in real time It is a very critical element of industry 4.0 that will act as an action factor to achieve the goal of end-to-end scanning by acting as a bridge between the different factory floor systems. This article presents a literature review of the MES. It also intends to show why not use ERP systems in the management of workshops instead of MES. The present paper discussed the choice of MES instead of ERP based on the literature review and the position of quality management in the Manufacturing Executing System.
