摘要
This paper deals with the application of the generalized vectorial laws of reflection and refraction discovered by the author in 2005 for the derivation of the well established Fermat's principle of ray optics. The long-running literature falls short of such a theoretical proof of Fermat's principle on the basis of the said generalized vectorial laws of reflection and refraction. As such the present work is novel and at the same time it reflects the efficiency of the generalized vectorial laws of reflection and refraction there by confirming the validity of the long running Fermat's principle of geometrical optics.
