Trivalent chromium plating for a safer workplace & environment

This excellent and recent publication from the SEA on substitution of Cr(3) for Cr(6) plating deserves the widest possible readership and, for that reason, is reproduced in these pages for the benefit of those who might not normally access SEA material readily from source. It might usefully be read together with the paper in this issue by Lansdell and Farr on colour of Cr(6) and Cr(3) electroplate (p.60), and the symposium report by Read on hexavalent-free chromium (p.B8).
