摘要
A trend of internationalization is a one of the most discussed and notable global trends in modern higher education. According to the author, a culturological approach has significant potential for studying this trend, its essence, forms of manifestation, prospects, etc. The purpose of the article is to analyze the role, scientific and practical potential of culturology in the field of higher education and international educational sphere. Such key features of culturological approach to the educational study are shown as a systematic approach, reliance on a structural-functional idea of culture, references to communicative and dialogical nature of culture and social reality, etc. Culturology, based on a system idea of the sociocultural reality, prevents an unilateral look at any phenomenon and focuses on the need for an integrated analysis of education in the context of the plurality of cause-effect relationships and development factors. Pondering correlation of goals, ideals and means in culture, culturology draws attention to a danger of substitution of one another and a need for their differentiation in the process of internationalization of education. The author defines the culturological point of view on education as on an institution of extended reproduction of culture, not only associated with the representation of culture, but also presenting relevant samples of global culture and society, which are understood as filled with differences. A communicative function of education and university in culture is linked with a function of norms and models of behavior and perception of the world formation. In this regard, the value of innovative educational systems aimed at formation of competencies and skills, as well as classical educational systems that form more stable communicative space is justified. This correlates with an idea of importance to preserve some heterogeneity of sociocultural space, which provides better adaptation for a larger number of cultural actors. Particular attention is paid to the problem of dehumanitarization of education through the prism of its incompatibility with the processes of internationalization. In this regard, the correlation and interaction of such features of modern culture as pragmatism and dialogue, their manifestations in education are analyzed and the author substantiates exceptional relevance of research activities aimed at bridging the gaps in the content of modern culture and society. The important role of culturology in production of integrated applied knowledge serving as the basis for the management of internationalization processes, the formation of a culture of dialogue between diverse and disparate cultural actors in higher education is noted. In general, the author outlines the points of application of culturology to the study and regulation of international educational sphere.
