Principle of invariance, or splitting, in neutron optics and basic properties of the neutron

摘要
A general consideration of the principle of invariance is given, and its applications in neutron optics are considered. Results obtained with the aid of this principle for layered media and for perfect crystals are presented. New special features are found in the cross section for the transmission of polycrystals. The possibilities of explaining the anomaly in the storage of ultracold neutrons are analyzed. Some ideas put forth by I.M. Frank are investigated.
