摘要：

Wastewater is treated in wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) through various physical, biological and chemical methods. A good control of WWTP processes could lead to better water quality and to an efficient use of energy. In order to control the treatment process all parameters need to be known. Some of them cannot be measured, so an estimate of the unknown parameters has to be used. This paper proposes the development of a linear model which will be used in future research for dynamic control design. To estimate the unknown parameters, a Luenberger observer and a Kalman filter are implemented.
