摘要
Environmental pollutions, limited traditional resources and increasing demand for electrical energy are today's major issues. The solutions that is found until now are to use renewable energy resources, electric vehicles and improvement in energy efficiency. A microgrid which is an interface between distributed renewable resources and the utility grid is one and reliable way to make use of renewable resource like; PV and wind and is also able to operate both in grid-connected and stand-alone modes. The concept of microgrid is only possible because of rapid development of fast-acting power electronics devices. The focus of our research is to develop a hierarchical control strategy for the modular microgrid system by optimally splitting (sharing) the power between energy storage system modules and the utility grid in such a way to reduce the total cost of the electricity (in connected mode). This can be achieved by performing iterations through planning high level algorithm (e.g. a dynamic programming based algorithm) and a local low level algorithm (e.g. model predictive control based algorithm).
