THE APPLICATION OF HIGH VOLTAGE NARROW-PULSE ENERGIZATION IN ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATIONS

ESP has been applied widely in environmental protection. Successful ESP depends critically upon the method, quality and control of electrical energization properly applied. In this paper, the history of pulse energization for electrostatic precipitations was introduced simply, principle of pulse energization was studied. A new narrow-pulse energization was developed and tested on dust performance in ESP. This pulse energization is very difference from formerly pulse energization which pulse is yielded in high-voltage of transformer, its pulse is yielded in low-voltage of transformer, and then is boosted and rectified by vertoro. Pulse width is in the range 0.1-10 mu s, pulse amplitude is from 1.1 to 2.0 times of the base DC voltage. It is concluded that derating of dust concentration at exit with pulsing are in the range 33.3-69.6% in contrast to DC power supplies, accompanied by an energy consumption saving of 20-35%, under identical gas factors in actual applications.
