摘要
The Internet comprises more than two billion static web pages. Each day this number grows by seven million. The "invisible web" is considered to be more than 500 times larger than the visible surface of the web. More than 80% of professional user spend at least least 30 minutes per day for searching in the web. Searching in the web is the predominant reason (81%) for connecting to the Internet. BINGOOO is a new client based search software and offers these features: The heterogeneous information sources are transformed into a distributed virtual database by reconstruction of the semantic level. The software provides a parallel search in several sources and a unified presentation of the results, Depending on the search context, only the relevant sources are accessed. This approach allows the inclusion of the "invisible web" that is not included by the common search engines. The systems delivers data instead of links and therefore allows comparisons and sort functions on the semantic level.
