Long-Distance Sensing Fiber Sensor System Using Broadband Source and Raman Amplifier

摘要
Maximum transmission distance of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors is limited by the signal loss in the fiber link. This paper aims to address the issue of fiber sensor for long-distance transmission using Raman amplifier. Intensity and wavelength-division multiplexing (IWDM) technique has been employed to increase the number FBG sensors in the system. The proposed scheme enables a long-distance sensing system and supports different Bragg wavelengths for a number of FBG sensors.
