Study on Diffusion of Information Technology Innovation: Based on Enterprise Bionics

Information technology has been widely used on all aspects of social life and brought deep influence. Information technology innovation is not only one of the most important reasons for organizational transformation, but also the core drive to economic growth and social development. The research on technological innovation diffusion has a long history and a lot of work has been done. However, in view of the characteristics of IT, the study on innovation diffusion of IT has become a new focus in the field of technological innovation diffusion. In recent years, the theory of enterprise bionics has become more and more popular. Many scholars have obtained new conclusions based on enterprise bionics. Previous studies have shown that some similar characteristics exist between epidemic virus transmission and diffusion of IT innovation. This article is from the perspective of enterprise bionics, makes analogy analysis between epidemic virus transmission and technological innovation diffusion on three aspects: basic concepts, main characteristics and diffusion models, redefine the IT enterprises: virus corporation and host corporation, and concludes several corresponding strategies.
