INFLUENCE OF LOGISTICS INTEGRATION ON LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE IN COMPANIES

The aim of this study was to draw a number of conclusions about logistics integration strategies and how they affect the results of logistics activities in companies. We created an integral model that includes both the typology of strategies and various scales to measure logistics performance. The study focused on a specific context, namely the industrial district, where by its very nature the management of business logistics is linked to the viability and evolution of the whole system [4]. Specifically, this paper analyses logistics management in the ceramic tile district in the province of Castellon (Spain). This analysis has enabled us to identify logistics management as an important factor for ceramic tile companies, as it represents a real competitive advantage for them, not only because of its impact on aspects such as customer satisfaction, but also due to a decrease in costs associated with material and information flows within and between companies.
