Research on the thinking of creative design and the measure of design creativity

Based on the classification on design activities, some discussions on the relationship between design activity and design thinking is made in this paper. The fundamental mechanism for creative design thinking is brought to light, which shows that the chaotic mechanism of design thinking is the source of creativity. Based on the above result, a creative function is proposed to measure the degree of design creativity and a concrete expression of this function, which is a mapping of the creative function, is derived.
