摘要：
Chromated copper arsenate (CCA) is a water-based, inorganic preservative comprised of chromium(VI), copper(II) and arsenic(V), which is at present the most widely used preservative within the wood preservation industry. The purpose of this review is to summarise the chemistry of CCA and its reactions with wood, The role of each component and its solution chemistry is outlined, whilst the most important aspect of the chemistry of CCA, that associated with fixation, is discussed at length. A brief overview of the wood preservation industry and its use of CCA is also provided.
