摘要
Zero Net Energy Building (ZNEB) is a new concept trending in the recent years which focus on energy efficient technologies for the implementation of smart buildings. The building sector contributes largely towards the growing energy needs and increased carbon footprints. Hence ZNEBs are promoted around the world as they help maintain annual zero net energy in the building which means that the overall energy generated through renewable technologies is equal to the energy consumed. In this paper, a Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm based grid connected ZNEB is designed to minimize electrical energy cost in the residential building by optimally scheduling the loads. The paper also aims to obtain a modified DE for better solutions.
