摘要
A new course, Social Impact Design, was developed at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) to engage students and women leaders from SEE Famn in Borgne, Haiti in addressing real world challenges through Human Centered Design (HCD). The 13 students and 19 women worked collaboratively on teams to identify four projects intended to "create sustainable wealth generating activities." Each team followed the HCD process and concluded with plans to move their project forward. Though communication, team size and time to learn the material and gather research were challenges the teams all completed the process.
