Analysis on the International Trade Barriers under the Background of Financial Crisis

The global financial crisis has forced countries around the world to erect trade barriers for the sake of protecting their own domestic industries, which affect China's foreign trade. This paper started from the historical cause of international trade barrier, and analyzed the dynamic and new characteristics of trade barriers under financial crisis, with empirical analysis of the income effect, price effect and other impact. The conclusion is that during the outbreak stage of subprime crisis, price effect is remarkable on China's foreign trade surplus, while during the crisis aggravation period, income effect is notable.
