摘要
Various schemes of producing the 3.5-eV isomer of Th-229m by radiative pumping the atom of Th-229 in the ground state are considered. Due to the resonance properties of the electron shell, some of the schemes turn out to be more effective than radiative pumping the bare nucleus of the same element. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B,V.
