摘要
In the paper the approach for a frequency modulation is presented using a split-ring resonator (SRR) loaded by a varactor diode. The modulation occurs there due to the continuous variety of capacitance of varactor diode via changing of its bias voltage by the signal which is necessary to modulate. The carrier signal is fed through the additional ring antenna or probe coupled with SRR via the near-field interaction. Here, the effective modulation of harmonic sine, chaotic and random signals was experimentally shown. The frequency range of the modulated signal can be easily controlled through the adjustment of varactor parameters.
