Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are common problems with worldwide distribution and immense social and economic costs. Changing epidemiologies and drug susceptibilities make management of these infections difficult. This article addresses the diagnosis and treatment of the STDs that are most pertinent to dermatologic practice, including anogenital warts, anogenital herpes, syphilis, chancroid, lymphogranuloma venereum, granuloma inguinale, molluscum contagiosum, and scabies.
