CHARACTERIZATION OF PUBLICATIONS IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSES: CASE STUDY OF SCIMAGO JOURNAL & COUNTRY RANK

This paper carries out a characterization of the discipline of international business through the review of scientific publications, mainly articles, books and conference reports. The above is done through a descriptive analysis using the is formation of SCImago Journal & Country Rank (SJR), which contains the database Scopus from Elsevier, currently considered one of the most important worldwide. It is concluded that the leading countries that publish scientific literature on international business are the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands and Germany, among others; and that the primary means of dissemination are serial journals that are equivalent to 92.06%, while non-serial publications reach 7.94% of all publications about this field.
