摘要
Based on the Buckingham's pi theorem a general similitude law was developed. The law is useful for the design of building models without enough artificial mass and for scaling live loads and mass of non-structural components in models. Numerical simulations analyzed the test errors, which were caused by the models without enough artificial mass and by use of the non-prototype material in models. Some examples of shaking table tests of high-rise buildings were described in the paper.
