Spectrum of carbon ions in recombining laser-generated

X-ray emission of a laser produced plasma (LPP) was investigated in the spectral range from 2.7 nm to 4.5 nm. X-ray spectra with spectral, spatial and time resolution of the LPP were measured with a multilayer mirror (MLM) monochromator at distances 5-15 mm from the target. It was found that in the investigated wavelength range two lines dominate: the 1s(2)-1s2p line in He-like carbon (lambda=4.02 nm) and the 1s-2p line in H-like carbon (lambda=3.37 nm). The intensities of the lines were measured as a function of the energy of a Nd: glass laser, which produced the laser plasma. The intensity of the line at 4.02 nm was measured as a function of the distance from the target.
