摘要
The creep behavior of long glass fiber reinforced thermoplastics was investigated in order to understand the effects of resin type, glass fiber length, polymer molecular weight, glass fiber content, fiber orientation, and temperature. The composite based on polyphthalamide exhibited a slightly better creep resistance than the nylon 6/6 based composite, which in turn showed a significantly better creep resistance than the polypropylene based composite. The effects of resin molecular weight and flow direction on the creep behavior were minimal for the long glass fiber reinforced composites studied. The longer glass fiber length and higher glass fiber content were found to increase the creep resistance of reinforced thermoplastics.
