摘要
To monitor surface state of optical glasses during grinding automatically, an Acoustic Emission (AE) signals monitoring system of optical glass in grinding was built. With this system, the horizontal surface grinding experiments for optical glass K9 were conducted and the value of AE signals during grinding of optical glass K9 was obtained. Utilizing optical microscope, surface morphologies is observed and surface roughness (SR) is obtained. The relationship between AE signals and SR of K9 glass in grinding is discussed. The experimental results show that the value of AE signals increase monotonically with SR.
