摘要
Modular robotics provides the unique advantage over traditional robotic technologies in terms of re-configurability, reusability, and ease in manufacturing. They are also cost-effective and time saving because each module is identical; thus simplifying the manufacturing process. This paper presents a modular legged robot which combines the advantages of both the modular robot and legged robot. This proposed idea is a hexapedal modular robot with each leg having three degrees of freedom. This paper discusses about the advantages of a modular robot over other robots; gait motion patterns, part design, various application and future scope. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
