摘要
Anticipatory Ethics has recently emerged as an important new orientation in practical ethics. Anticipatory ethics is related to the development of emerging and innovative technologies. Here anticipatory ethics will be focused upon developments in business that are innovations with Artificial intelligence. These developments are emerging in a variety of areas of short and long term developments of business. The importance of anticipatory ethics is critical due to the rapid development and influence of information technology in all its forms of contemporary existence. Anticipatory ethics is focused on identifying ethical issues for developing technologies and then strategies for identifying and resolving potential ethical problems with these technologies before they arise. If we identify specific types of Artificial Intelligence as they are deployed in businesses, we discover that different types of Artificial Intelligence are currently at different levels of technological development and so they apply in different areas of business in different ways. Individualized Artificial Intelligence in the form of machine learning is entering the power stage while industrial and business based Artificial Intelligence is currently between the permeation and power stages of technological development. A variety of issues arise about the developments related to Artificial Intelligence and stakeholders who will be affected by these developments. These issues include problems involving the engineers developing and designing Artificial Intelligence and the development of the software used to design what will be created by Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence for businesses, will eventually contribute to changes in all areas of product development, product manufacturing, and product innovation. The methods for Artificial Intelligence including machine learning and deep learning will allow businesses and individuals to make new artefacts or to make old artefacts in new ways. There are a number of alterations within personal life and within business where the introduction of artificial intelligence has had an impact and where it is likely to continue to have a societal impact. The methodology employed in this analysis is anticipatory ethics which is a type of applied ethics. This anticipatory ethical analysis will focus on identifying ethical problems with developments with short and long developments in AI related technologies. These problems are identified by applying ethical principles to the technological developments under discussion in the paper. These short and long term developments are related to ethical issues including privacy, transparency, security, bias, inequality, isolation, oligopoly, and killer robots.
