摘要
A new type of diffluence T-junction with low-resistance was designed to reduce the flow resistance coefficient. After the numerical simulation on internal flow field for both the traditional and newly-invent T-junction, an analysis was made on their flow pattern, and their fluid resistance coefficient was computed. At last, the actual fluid resistance was measured respectively. It shows that: the results from numerical simulation agree well to those got in experimental testing. Furthermore, the flow resistance coefficient of T-junction is decreased from 1.13 to 0.61 after redesign, which indicates high effectiveness of this process. The mechanism is that smoothness for branch can inhibit the vortex generation efficiently and greatly reduce its flow resistance coefficient, which consequently reduces the gross flow resistance.
