摘要
The system analysis considers the working surface of an abrasive tool as a set of basic regions, united in a combined construction. Its modeling consists in determining the state parameters of the basic sections and tool shape. The number of cutting edges on the tool working surface in grinding does not remain constant. At each contact of the grains with the workpiece a certain part of grains fails, and another one brokes away from the wheel bound. Simultaneously, the new cutting edges, lying in the deeper layers of the tool, come into work, because the tool diameter decreases due to wear. The description of the basic region of the abrasive tool working surface includes the determination of the geometrical dimensions, number and distribution of the cutting edges. This article is devoted to the development of the dependencies for the prediction of changes in the number and distribution of the grains in the tool depth within its life. The adequacy of the proposed models were verified experimentally. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
