摘要
The objective of this article was to carry out a bibliographic review on the goat production systems applied in Colombia and the composition of goat's milk, with a brief compilation of information on this. A query was made in different databases and academic repositories that contained the necessary information, then it was filtered at the author's discretion and said article was designed. As a result, it was found that most of the productions present in Colombia are for self-consumption or for commercialization, either in local markets or in milk processors, through production systems that adjust to their conditions and amount of resources. In conclusion, the goat's milk extracted in Colombia has not had the boom expected by goat farmers, where future profits generated for them by this multipurpose animal are lost.
