摘要：

The purpose of this study is, firstly, to underline certain cynic traits in the figure of Socrates, such as the ones which can be perceived in some testimonies by disciples like Plato or Xenophon, and which are wholly unrelated to the philosophical premises of cynicism. Secondly, this study aims to demonstrate the continuity amongst Socrates, Antisthenes and Diogenes in order to defend the thesis that, in spite of exaggerating certain personality traits, the cynics represent the most faithful reflection of the master's personality amongst the various schools that philosophical historiography has referred to Minor Socratics.
