摘要
Neutron Radiography (NR) and X-rays Radiography (XR) have been already proven as complementarily techniques in the field of non destructive testing (NDT). In this paper we present an approach to exploit this complementarily for the investigation of samples. The approach is based on NR and XR images combining after being well processed. The investigated sample was thoroughly selected in order to be suitable and of interest for both Neutron and X-ray radiography investigation. This, means that structural composition must be from different materials that have adequate attenuation characteristics for neutrons such as plastic and for X-rays such as metals. All the necessary experiments were performed around the Es-Salam Neutron Radiography facility (1.6 10(6) n/cm(2)/s) and using an industrial X-rays generator (450kV, 10Amp). Results of digital images mixing and quantitative analysis will be presented in this paper.
