摘要
Current guidelines of care recommend exercise in patients with stable chronic heart failure (HF); however, specifics of this exercise are not detailed. Cardiac rehabilitation for HF-reduced ejection fraction is now reimbursed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and many major insurance companies also reimburse cardiac rehabilitation irrespective of type or severity of HF. Although exercise-training guidelines and position statements are available for patients with HF, there has not been inclusion of HF disease management in core components or core competency statements for cardiac rehabilitation.
