GEOGRAPHY BETWEEN SITUATED KNOWLEDGE, DECOLONIAL APPROACH AND INTERSECTIONALITY

This article focuses on some recent changes in Geography in dialogue with other Social Sciences, showing its potential for future developments. "Geographing" is seen as the capacity to recognize and practice changing spatial perspectives, thus enabling us to live with the otherness and multiplicity of views (and practices) of the world(s). Geography is seen in the light of "situated knowledge" (Donna Haraway), strengthened and complexified in Latin America through decolonial approaches that emphasize the intersectionality between multiple manifestations (class, gender, ethnicity) of power and through multiple territorialities (multi or transterritoriality). Both Geography (in a broad sense) and the decolonial approach are considered intrinsically as situated and intersectional knowledge.
