摘要
The effect of the JC-1 microorganism on the strength development of cement paste was investigated. An experimental program using the microorganism was designed for the investigation. Four types of cement paste samples were prepared with four different cell concentrations. The following tests were conducted with the cement paste: (1) Thermo-Gravimetric analysis/Differential Scanning Calorimetry (TG/DSC), (2) degree of hydration, and (3) compressive strength. Results from TG/DSC and degree of hydration showed that the JC-1 microorganism accelerated early calcium silicate hydration, affecting the compressive strength of the cement paste. As a result, the cement paste with the microorganism showed higher early strength development than plain cement paste. The optimum dosage of JC-1 microorganism for strength enhancement was at the cell concentration of 1 x 10(5) cells/ml. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
