Method of determination of non-stoichiometry of oxide epitaxial films with structure of a garnet

摘要
Thermodynamic analysis of the garnet formation processes and crystal-chemical simulation of the filling of the garnet crystal lattice with cations are used to identify the types of defects and to estimate their numbers and contributions to the magnetic properties of Y3-yLayFe5-xGaxO12-delta monocrystalline epitaxial films. The distribution of Ga3+ cations over octa- and tetrapositions does not correspond to statistical distribution. The numbers of Fe-VI(2+) in films are calculated. These ions cause the most significant magnetic contribution in the crystal films.
