摘要
This paper examines the possibility of protecting the magnets of permanent magnet electrical machines against demagnetization in case of a sudden three-phase short circuit at the terminals of the stator winding. An analytical description of the effects that reduce the load that can demagnetize the permanent magnets is provided and verified using FEM simulation.
