摘要
Turkey is one of the most important loquat producers in the world. Loquat growing in Turkey has increased over the last 30 years. Growing has been cultivated with standard cultivars especially in the Mediterranean region. This region has 96% of the total loquat production of Turkey. Within the Mediterranean region, Antalya and Icel provinces are the important producers. Our country has a number of 288,000 trees, a number of 250,000 bearing, the production is 12,104 tons. It is suitable for fresh consumption in the Blacksea, Marmara and Aegean regions. Also, the Mediterranean region is suitable for early bearing. The important part of the production is consumed within Turkey, also fresh fruit is exported to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Jordan, Germany and other European countries.
