A new genus, Fibragallia, with descriptions of new species from Central America and Mexico (Homoptera: Cicadellidae: Agalliinae)

A new genus, Fibragallia, type-species Agallia bidigitata Oman, is established for the Agallia bidigitata species group. Seven new species in the complex are described and illustrated: F. tridigitata from Panama, mexicana from Mexico and paradigitata, similis, grandigitata, lamina, and biclava from Costa Rica. Diagnostic characters in the female seventh sternum are elucidated. Fibragallia bidigitata (Oman) is designated as a new combination. A key to species; a discussion of generic relationships and distribution of the genus and species complex are presented.
