The design of an interactive approach to statistical data mining

In this research, an interactive approach to statistical data mining system is formulated and implemented The-system provides a set of operators that can be used to examine data as well as extract types of knowledge from databases. For efficiency, we build summary tables such that most data mining tasks can be accomplished using only summary tables without scanning the databases. A summary table contains concise statistical information about groups of tuples while the knowledge generation operators facilitate interactive search of different types of knowledge. Examples are also given to show how these operators are used to explore the data.
