Lanolin and its derivatives have long been widely known and used within the cosmetics industry. However, ii is probably the case that they are not equally well understood The purpose of the present article, by means of highlighting the following reasons for using lanolin as an ingredient for cosmetics and toiletries, is to provide basic information about its many properties, uses and benefits so that formulators and marketers within the industry can utilise it with understanding and confidence.
