Population of birds of the main forest biotopes in the Southern Sikhote-Alin

摘要：
The highest species diversity (61 nesting species) and bird population density (444 pair/km(2)) among 6 main forest biotopes of the Southern Sikhote-Alin are found in lowland deciduous forests; the lowest are found in oak forests (32 species and 137 pair/km(2), respectively). The most similar forests in species composition of nesting birds are the Manchurian fir forest and the Korean pine forest (97% of species in common).
