Mastopexy after Massive Weight Loss

A negative consequence following weight loss, particularly as a result of successful bariatric surgery, is the appearance of the breasts. Damage to the skin, nipple position, and internal breast structures are reviewed. Evaluation of the post bariatric surgery patient as a candidate for mastopexy is discussed, as are approaches to reshaping and restoring the appearance of the breasts. Complications and limitations of the procedure are also reviewed.
