摘要
Vocabulary learning is the foundation of English study, in a close relationship with all the language skills of English, including listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation, etc. But it is time-consuming and uninteresting. So finding a practical, effective and efficient way of vocabulary teaching is an urgent task for English educators. This paper intends to apply cognitive theory of metaphor to vocabulary teaching, with the purpose of finding out an effective way of vocabulary teaching.
