摘要：

As we all know,vocabulary is the foundation of English study.In recent years,with the popularity of cognitive linguistics,metaphor is regarded as the well of vocabulary,which provides a new perspective for the teaching of English vocabulary.From the perspective of metaphor,the paper analyses the relationship between metaphor and vocabulary and try to explore a way which applys metaphor to the vocabulary teaching.
