摘要：
An infrared phased array antenna design using leaky-wave elements is presented. The leaky-wave mechanism is utilized to produce scanning in the phi = 90 degrees plane while phase tuning by varying distance between the leaky-wave elements produces scanning in the phi = 0 degrees plane. The combination of these two allows for 2D beam scanning. The applications of such 2D phased arrays lies in highly directive, broadband transmission and reception.
