摘要
This paper aims to find out to what extent training provided by employers in the workplace will contribute to the productivity growth, which is an essential question when employers make decisions of investing in training. The argument of this article is mainly based oil the literatures about training, from which three hypotheses are concluded as: (1) the overall training is positively associated with productivity growth (2) General training leads to productivity growth whereas specific training has no impact on productivity growth, (3) Training effects oil productivity is the multiplicity of other factors that may affect productivity levels, and training alone has no impact oil productivity. The findings from suggest that training, especially general training will greatly improve productivity. When other human resource practices are controlled, the effects of training remain significant.
