摘要
Starting with the Industrial Revolution, the emission of gases that produce the greenhouse effect has increased. This is largely the result of the use and transformation of fossil fuels. The global mean temperature of the Earth has also increased. There is, then, a correlation between increasing volumes of greenhouse gases and the increase in the global mean temperature. A physical reason explains the relationship. Greater amounts of greenhouse gases trap more energy, resulting in greater warming. This hypothesis for climatic change is the most widely accepted now. The potential effects of climatic change on corn production (grain) for an important irrigation district in Mexico - Delicias, Chihuahua - was simulated. The Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSATv3), a biological simulation model simulated corn production under the scenarios proposed in 1990 by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climatic Change of the World Meteorological Organization.
