摘要
We present a study on the decrease of wave induced motions and vibrations for a new high-speed hydrofoil catamaran with a passive type motion control system. The cabin equipped with the fully submerged hydrofoils is connected to the twin hulls by hinges and soft springs to reduce the wave induced motions and vibrations. In order to investigate the behaviors of wave induced motions and vibrations, the tank tests have been made using a 1/10 scale model. Furthermore, the sea tests of aluminum alloy craft to a 1/3 scale of conceptual catamaran are also carried out in Ujina Bay near to Hiroshima City of Japan. Moreover, the numerical analyses of wave induced motions and vibrations for the model and the craft are executed. The results of both calculations and experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed passive type motion control system with hydrofoils to decrease the wave induced motions and vibrations for the high-speed hydrofoil catamaran.
